Reading

British people read: books, newspapers and magazines. The sixty-five per cent read for pleasure as a major hobby. The people buy books on the bookshops, the people read books in the public libraries, it's free. In the library people borrow CDs, videos, DVDs, books, films
and TV programs. Libraries are very important in schools and universities. Reading is a very popular activiti!!!

British sports

At the weekend more people watgh sport especially football. Girls and boys played in school and as a leisure activity.
Cricket is played in towns and villages and it is played between two teams of 11 people.
Other popular sports are golf, swimming, cycling, keeping fit, walking and tennis.

Worldwide Found for Nature

The world's animals are in danger of extinction. shark's fin soup is a favorite dish in many restaurants. A big problem is the destruction of the rainforest.
The worldwide Fund for Nature is an international organization. Started in Britain in 1961. In the Here at Port Lympne Animal Park there are different animals: elephants, lions, African hunting, dogs and many others. Every year several go back to the grassland of Asia.
People love animals!!!!!

British houses

The 90% of the people in Britain live in towns. There are different houses like flats, terraced houses, detached hove and cottages.
In the sixty % of population live in terraced or semi-detached houses.
Houses in different parts of Britain can look very different.
Some are hundreds of years old.

Shopping

People really like shopping. There are different shopping centers: food, medicines, cosmetics, clothes and books.
In a recent survey 56% of women between the ages of 16 and 40 described shopping as their main hobby.
There are lots of big out-of-town shopping centres. With over 330 different shops.

School in Britain

For most students in Britain, the school day starts between eight thirty and nine o'clock. People go to school using many different kinds of transports. After two or three lessons there is a break. Students go back to the classrom after lunch. School lasts for seven hours and nearly five hours are lessons.
The subjects are: English, Mats, Science, IT, French,Spanish, History, Geography, Art, Music and PE.

Packed lunch

Most schools in Britain pronide hot meals and salads every day but many students prefer to tak their own lunch to school.
In the paked lunch ther is a lot of chocolate, crisps, fatty foods and cola isn't good for people.
One school in England helps students to eat helthy food with the Green Machine.
Ther's students are enjoying their food and it's good for them too.
